ABOUT MIRIAM
Hi, I’m Miriam Abramowitz! Ever since I was young, I’ve loved capturing moments—whether it was taking photos of my family, friends, or being the “family photographer.” That passion for storytelling grew as I discovered the powerful influence of social media. I’m incredibly grateful for how social media has shaped my generation and the world around us, and I’m eager to use its impact for good.
Social media is more than just a tool—it’s a platform that connects generations, drives change, and shapes our world. I want to help companies harness its potential to create meaningful, lasting impacts. With a strong foundation in digital marketing and social media strategy, I’m confident I have the skills, tools, and creativity to excel in my career.
Over the past few years, I’ve had the privilege of working in diverse industries, from hospitality to tech to higher education, each teaching me something new and helping me grow. During my time at City Social Co., a social media marketing and PR agency, I managed content for multiple accounts, designed monthly content calendars, and organized photoshoots to capture brand stories. It taught me the importance of organization, creativity, and staying ahead of trends to create engaging campaigns that connect with audiences.
At Lumedica, a tech company, I developed a modern, user-friendly website and created a 10-year anniversary campaign that included designing print ads, promotional materials, and social media assets. This role pushed me to think strategically about aligning creative projects with business goals, giving me confidence in navigating both the creative and analytical sides of marketing.
Through my experiences, I’ve gained expertise in platforms like Adobe Suite, Canva, Squarespace, Later, and Meta Business Suite. I’ve also developed skills in SEO, community engagement, and analyzing social media performance to inform strategies. From crafting detailed content calendars to designing impactful visuals, I’ve learned how to adapt quickly and bring value to any project or team I’m part of.
I grew up in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and while I’ll always cherish my roots, I’m ready to explore life outside the Carolinas and dive into the opportunities waiting in a bigger city. As I prepare to graduate from the University of South Carolina in May 2025 and become a proud USC alum, I’m excited to take on bigger roles in the world.
I’m passionate about traveling and exploring new places, finding inspiration in different cultures and experiences. Cooking and baking provide me with a sense of peace and a creative outlet, allowing me to unwind after a busy day. I recently found a hobby in running—completing my first half marathon in April 2023 with no prior experience showed me that with determination, I can achieve anything I set my mind to. This mindset is something I’m carrying with me as I embrace the big changes ahead.
Wherever I land, I’m excited to bring my skills, passion, and creativity to help companies connect with their audiences and make a meaningful impact. The journey ahead is one I can’t wait to take on!
